Any updates on Jelena? How she is doing in practices, why she didn’t play this last weekend, ,likelihood of a redshirt, when she might play...? Frankly, I don’t think she could have helped much vs Stanford defensively, which did most of its damage from the outside. I do think she could help vs the ucks as a rim protector... hopefully on offense too. I think she should play if Scott thinks she could boost our chances of going deep in the tournament. Though I don’t like the idea of a redshirt, it is seeming more likely.

Maybe the thinking is play her this year below the minimum games to still be able to apply for a medical red shirt. Not sure how many games that is but there are 12 more PAC-12 games left. Probably too early to have her play and still get the medical red shirt.

To receive a medical redshirt in basketball, you can't play in games beyond the first half of the season. It differs from the simple count of games as is now used in football.

If Jelena were ready and in shape to play, surely she would have against Cal. Doubt we'll see her against the ducks.
