The program is almost fully endowed. OSU is completely in Title IX compliance, no need to drop a men's sport. So why do you keep harping about the program being dropped? and the wrestling room was renovated fairly recently...

I have high regard for OSU’s wrestling’s outstanding history. If the OSU program has no prospect of living up to that standard and competing again at a national level then it should just be put out of its misery. It’s painful watching this once proud program limp along with seemingly no practical hope for improvement. There are only 80 Div 1 wrestling programs For OSU not to be a fixture in the top 25 (as a minimum) is inexcusable. Right now the only thing OSU wrestling has going for it is lingering nostalgia for better times, which are growing more distant with every match.

I thought we had two All-Americans last season. Guess I was misinformed.
And the point was, why do you keep suggesting the program will be dropped when there are no indications whatsoever that it's even being remotely considered?

A 5th place by Dhesi and an 8th place by Bresser. Lower placings than each earned in ‘18. I don’t know what Scott Barnes has in mind for the Wrestling program at OSU. I hope it includes new leadership. It is stunning how little interest there is in the program and how much resignation and apathy is exuded by those few who still follow it. OSU wrestling needs a Pat Casey. Instead, it has George Horton.

I frankly don't rate team "Pac-12 Wrestling Championships" in our little one-day, 5 team tournament as an impressive accomplishment. Sorry, it just isn't. And a "Trip to Omaha" would equate to a top-8 team finish at nationals. Zalesky's OSU teams have managed that just once, 8th seven years ago (equivalent to a "2 and 'que") - so I'll give him credit for that much. However comparing a top 8 finish out of 80 D1 wrestling programs with finishing top 8 out of 299 D1 baseball programs is a bit of a stretch.
