I'll go against the grain here a little at give my nod to Jamie Weisner, albeit narrowly. Both are OSU greats. I guess it depends on what specific skill sets you'd want to match up with your other players that you have. Weisner, the much more prolific 3 pt. scorer (much better than anyone on the current team), with a great mid range game. Outstanding free throw shooter. Or, Pivec the better player in the paint, rebounder, and with the better handle. I think both had/have the ability to load their team on their back and carry them when it was necessary. Of course, Pivec's career is not yet over so perhaps we need to wait to the end to revisit.

I am a guy that says ' what have you done for me lately ', and, as much as I admire all of Scott / Staffs recruits ... my most recent positive memory is with Pivec and 1.4 seconds to go last night ! What I marveled at,when she was a Freshman, was watching her make a mistake ( turnover ), and then immediately coming up with whatever play it took to cancel out the mistake. She does not make many 'mistakes' today , but she now understands where the ball ia let the time( even dancing crazily off the rim ), and puts herself in a position to provide an assist, get a second chance or pass out for a more valuable 3 ! So, from correcting mistakes - to controlling outcomes on both ends of the floor . Go Beavers !

Mik's a javelin thrower, my sister was one too; they'd rather throw one at you than look at you during competition. And I really believe she played a lot of driveway hoops; she just doesn't seem satisfied unless she's got fresh bruises.
One of the nicest people I have ever met, but lethal inside the lines. Jamie had the same attitude, but Mik's the better ball player. Leading the Pac-12 in rebounds as a guard is unreal.

Weisner has been my favorite OSU player during Rueck's tenure. Pivec is right there with her. Too hard to choose. Glad that both wore orange and black.

IIRC Jamie also won a state title and her throw was a bit longer than Miks. Mannen also threw the javelin all four years of high school. Not in the same class the Mik or Jamie but she did place at state.

Mik is the more physical, but Jamie had a far more complete game. Better shooter in 3 pt range and mid range. Also very effective off the dribble. Also far better handle. Mik is fantastic at what she does, more physical/ stronger inside and rebounding... but is not as complete. Also the comment above stating Jamie didn't play against as good of league is false. The Pac12 has always been very strong... some different teams, but always strong. Even more impressive, Jamie and crew created the legacy Mik's bunch has continued. Where OSU came from because of that first group will always have them a step above other equals.

This is a tough one to call. Jamie was a better overall shooter and ball handler. Mik has the better physical presence......her rebounding for a guard .....WOW. If I had to pick one, I’d lean towards Mik ......mainly on her rebound presence and anticipation of where to be for the rebound. She’s got the strength down low to beat her defenders. We’ve been blessed with having both of these players.....lots of special memories with each. Here’s to our team showing their tenacity come March.

Didn't know that about Jamie, but i'm still leaning with Mik because she's the one you want with the ball with 5 seconds left, though it's almost neck and neck now 😊

I always considerd Jamie the best player over the last several years, but I think Mik has surpassed her. I think there is even an argument on who is the better shooter. Certainly Mik last year, and has been this season, one of the most efficient shooters/scores in college basketball. People talk about great scorers like Ari McDonald and SI, but Mik's numbers are more efficient. She's become a terrific passer, (side note, she has developed great chemistry with Taylor) , and we all know about her rebounding. She's going to be missed big time next season.
