let’s have a little enthusiasm there ladies. That last OSU offensive set is fascinating to replay. As Mik comes around Taylor’s screen and receives the pass from Destiny OSU has Brown, Goodman and Slocum spaced along the 3 point line. None of their defenders can leave them to double Pivec (Browns defender cheats in a little but never doubles) Jones is also in perfect position for an over the top pass, being fronted by her defender should she come off to double. Mik knows she’s one-on-one against her smaller defender. TCB.

As much as we as fans moan about OSU's inbound plays taking forever to run, other players, coaches and announcers all comment on how hard it is to guard them.

I'd really like to know how much practice time Coach dedicates to baseline inbound plays and after timeout inbounds plays...Rueck is masterful is his design of these plays, but no matter how clever the design it must be executed - and good execution requires repetition, repetition, more repetition...
Like several on this board, I watch all of the Pac-12 teams, and from what I've seen no one runs these inbounds play as precisely as the Beavs...I'd say Stanford is a close 2nd, but the Beavs are, without doubt, a cut above. GO BEAVS !!

This reminds me of a play at the end of the Baylor game in 2018. Mik ran through the lane right to left at a similar angle and had Kat and Katie outside the 3 pt line left wing. Kay’s defender stuck, but Katie’s bit for the double team. Mik made the pass, Katie drilled the 3, and the game was effectively over. I have no doubt Mik was prepared to pass last night out of a double team had it come.

Romo is the best NFL color guy on the air today. He knows the game inside and out and can communicate it clearly.

I usually don't think about or care one way or the other about color guys but I love Romo. His insight is fascinating, plus I think his (over) excitability and borderline dorkiness is kind of endearing. His voice is slightly annoying sometimes, but the content is top tier. Aikman is good too. For some reason Collingsworth bugs me.

At 1.4 seconds the ball was still working it's way down through the net. Somehow AZ still had 1.4 seconds left for their in-bound play. The 'somehow' is that from the moment the ball clears the net to the moment the ref raises hand and blows the whistle, the clock was frozen at 1.4 seconds. Maybe I'm ignorant and there's a rule that the clock automatically stops on scored basket.. ...it just sees odd to me. The clock stops after every made basket in the final minute. The refs got it right.

I keep seeing complaints about the commentators from last night's game. I barely noticed them, they were mostly white noise to me.

You were fortunate; white noise definitely preferable. Joan Bonvincini was also trying, and pretty much failing, to hide her shortcomings as an announcer.

As much as we as fans moan about OSU's inbound plays taking forever to run, other players, coaches and announcers all comment on how hard it is to guard them. Ruecks inbound plays take forever to run because he forces the defense to make multiple decisions during the play. Most player’s can switch the first screen but when they have to switch the second screen they become confused. Screen the screener has been a staple for teams for years, Rueck has disguised the plays so they don’t know what is coming next. if we get an occasional five second call in exchange for multiple lay ups that’s OK with me.
