I've noticed we moved up from barely in the top 20 in FG% Defense to #6 in the last month: www.ncaa.com/stats/basketball-women/d1/current/team/115Some of that would be the Dec opponents, but it's also clearly been an emphasis. However, we've similarly dropped in our 3PT Shooting % - I don't recall what we were a month ago, but I believe it was in the top 5, and now down to #22: www.ncaa.com/stats/basketball-women/d1/current/team/118Those things are often at odds - playing aggressive defense often fatigues the legs needed for accurate shooting. My question is, did Rueck cause the recent shooting slump (and possible the one last year) with the defensive emphasis? (Note I'm not saying it's not a good tradeoff either way, just seeing it as an interesting and plausible explanation)

3 point shooting and defense have gone hand in hand throughout most of Rueck's tenure at OSU. I don't think it's an either/or thing. I thought the decline in shooting last year pretty much coincided w/ Tudor's injury.
