Heard the news when I was driving home. Literally brought tears to my eyes, and I like Rush but am not a giant fan. Peart was the dude, though...arguably the greatest rock drummer ever. In interviews he seemed like a great guy.
I know I'm way in the minority here, but my favorite Rush song is Vital Signs.

Loaded up a playlist of Rush for a drive down to Corvallis this morning to see my sister. I like some Rush songs very much, and others don’t do it for me. But I listened today to enjoy Peart’s drumming. Wow! He’ll get you moving down I-5!

RIP to a GREAT drummer and lyricist. I have NEVER been a huge "Rush" fan because Geddy Lee's voice just GRATES on me. I AM a Neil Peart fan!!
