Her goal of pac12 freshman of the year doesn't seem so far fetched now. I can't wait to see her in March.

As near as I can tell, her verticality, her ability to receive a pass, gather it and release it high is absolutely without equal in the Pac..For a Frosh that skill set is stunning, IMO.
I cannot recall an OSU Big in either men's or women's basketball who fills the stat sheet as quickly as Taylor...Someone can do the math on how her numbers register in a 40-minute game, but I'd guess they're at the top in the conference....
In the Colorado game she was lights out finishing the press break...She made it look easy but it isn't. Our guards, especially Destiny and Mik, share the credit with Taylor's point productivity because they consistently get the ball to her where it counts, when it counts... Again, this is not as easy as it looks. Watch our opponents each game and keep track of how many similar shots the opposing post player gets. Very few. Often none. As in zero. Watch the OSU Men's team and note how often their mobile, springy 7' centre receives a high pass in the low post for an immediate put back or a slam dunk - very rarely....
At any rate, congrats to Taylor.... GO BEAVS !!

Jamie Weisner, Sydney Wiese and Mikayla Pivec all won the FOTW award twice. TJ is the first Beaver player to win 3 times..... What is the Pac-12 benchmark?
Go Beavers!

Taylor is going to get even better. Destiny would have had 3 more assists vs Colorado had Taylor managed to catch a few more of Destiny's passes to Taylor. Mik does such a nice job of lobbing the pass softly to Taylor, and Taylor generally converts all of Mik's passes. Taylor will get better at recognizing Destiny's no-look passes, and catch more cleanly in the future. Just need some more game time with Destiny.

All that while averaging 20 minutes per game. Taylor Jones ranks first in the conference in points-per-40-minutes. She's an unbelievably cool customer for a Freshman.

I rewatched the Utah game last night, all i have to say is WOW! She is really good. She seems to take pleasure in physical post play. She doesn't appear to get frustrated.
