I know we are chasing Ben Gregg pretty hard, and really hope we can reel him in, but I haven't heard anything about us recruiting Bittle.
5 star Center, looks a lot like KK stature wise, but with a much more polished offensive game, I know we gave him an offer, but is it just a foregone conclusion that he is headed to the *ucks or some other blue blodd program???

Word from up North was that after his Oct visit Ben has received a bunch of interest. Being a 2021 who knows, but supposedly he is highly enamored with two schools of late... Zags and Virginia. Both are equally interested. If that keeps up through the 2020 signings and either/both have spots/need for him, OSU doesn't have a chance. Maybe SR needs a new assistant in the WBB hoops program and Dad can be lured first??? Crater connects say Bittle, really it's Dad, has ZERO interest in the current OSU program.

Did Bittle run it up on Gregg at LSI or do I have it backwards? Thought one of them had 41 pts/14 rebounds, other had 18 or 20. Don't know any details.

Not sure the details, but I know Carter won by 17... 71-54. Bittle had games of 41 (vs Clackamas) and 31... had 16 boards/6 blocks vs Churchill Gregg had games of 35 and 32 Both were 1/2 in FGA/FGM in a game... For the tourney: Bittle... 29.0... 19.8 FGA/g... 11.5 FGM/g (.582/.333 on 3's)... 13.8 reb/g... 3.5 blk/g... Crater averaged 62.8 pts/g Gregg.. 26.8... 20.3 FGA/g... 9.8 FGM/g (.481/.346 on 3's)... 7.5 reb/g... 1.8 blk/g... Clackamas averaged 63.8 pts/g

Bittle's dad is running the show and it will be the ucks....or a blue blood. Bittle's issue right now is strength. 6'10" and 180-190 lbs is not going to work if he goes to a blue blood.

Thanks for the good intel! So we are probably out on both Is the only way to consistently grab at least our fair share of Elite Oregon players to be a top 25 bb program for a handful of years running? *ucks are top 25 AND have the help of Nike, etc...

Thought I saw that Gregg liked his visit here and that we were high on his list? An OLive article from October has him quoted saying he really likes the coaching staff and program here and that he wanted to have his visit early to show he was serious about OSU. It also said that OSU was making him a high priority recruit for 2021. As far as Bittle goes I think 247 has him already committed to uo, or is basically saying it is a foregone conclusion. Would be cool to see a mini Bittle vs. Gregg rivalry if each chose a different school in-state.

IBen has a top two of #1 Gonzaga and #2 Oregon state. He and his Dad both really like Tinkle. He doesn’t like the Yucks for what’s it’s worth. So if the Zags offer ,which they haven’t yet , he will be s Zag. If they don’t he’ll be a Beav. Bittle is most definitely leaning very hard at the Yucks. Both players have a lot of game and would help the Beavers. Keep fingers crossed Gonzaga doesn’t offer Ben. Both players are Juniors this year. If you want to check them out in person Clackamas plays Crater again in late January at the Martin Luther King tourney inPortland.

Article on Building the Dam said we recently offered Nolan Hickman, 2021 4* PG from WA. Article also talked about Jefferson 2021 3* PF Nathan Rawlins-Kibonge. He's committed to WSU for basketball, but article said he recently took a visit to Corvallis for football. He's a 6-7, 240 lb DE.
