6' 4, 230 lbs. 10-6 over two years as a starter, passed for just under 4000 yards with 35 touchdowns and rushed for 820. he would look good in orange !

He’s a hard running Qb! Unfortunately, I predict he misses Corvallis by about 40 miles, which would suck.

They seem to like their 2020 redshirt sophomore guys and had Millen's kid as a true freshmen this year. Plus I think they signed at least one QB. Instant defections if they bring in a grad transfer.

Maybe their fans did. Their coaches sure didn't think so, they targeted VA the second the FCS playoffs were over.

According to them and their hate based 'logic', the ucks will be better next year losing a 1st Rd, super intelligent, 4 yr starter @ QB!?

They may have MORE talent overall - and they have some real promising young kids, particularly on D - but you don’t just plug and play when you lose your unquestioned leader on both sides of the ball!

FWIW Oregon went 11-2 and finished ranked 9th in Marriotas first year as a starter after taking over for Thomas. Thomas took Oregon to the national championship game his first year as a starter. Dont think Oregon has that much talent coming back as those teams, but they will still be one of, if not the best Pac 12 team whomever their starter is.

Without a doubt. And some key defensive guys too. But they have been killing it recruiting the past few years. Who else in the league looks like they are on the rise? Particularly the north. Washington loses just as much as Oregon. Cal might be their biggest competition in the North. The South will be a mess. USC gon USC, Utah loses a ton. ASU or UCLA might win the south next year. I look at it the same way I look at OSU. We will have a first year starter but I dont expect much of a drop off at all. I think we win 8 games next year. Anyway..point being, losing a guy like Herbert certainly hurts, but its college football. Clemson won the NC with a true freshman. Ohio State made the playoffs with a first year starter. Basically the teams with them most talent wins [except USC], and generally speaking, Oregon and Washington have the most talent in the North.

Cal scares me with the good QB returning with almost the entire D. Are they National Championship good? Hardly but we saw how they could hold their own with the win at Washington and the close loss to Oregon.
What that portends for us: Solid spoiler role. We can beat or lose to any Pac-12 team. The next step is to gain consistency in our performance. Right now when we are on we are on but when we are off, it sure sucks to be us! Get past that skip a beat or three deal and our hat will be in the ring. Oregon will have more talent than us if the rating services are to be believed but we will do more with the talent we get than they will.

There are plenty of real reasons to throw stones without having to resort to absurd make believe.

They are saying the same about Shough right now and it would surprise me not at all if someone steals the job from him
