Her stats won’t say it, but Brown has arguably had a bigger impact, which has a lot to do with OSU’s injury situation. Not taking away from Jones at all, she’s been awesome, just saying Brown belongs on that list as well. Brown has anchored our defense against the best teams, slowed volume-scoring bigs and has provided timely offense and boards.
And we are very fortunate they’ve both stepped up and been amazing - given all the injuries, I believe we would be fringe top 25 without them.

I continue to be impressed with how physical they can be, as well as their defensive positioning - and both of those areas continue to evolve in a positive direction !

Are they all averaging 13 ppg? Seems like it. Not sure why Taylor Jones is #6, she could easily be higher on the list. She's certainly been more consistent than Stanford's Jones.

Looks to me like reputation is still playing a role. Haley Jones was the number 1 ranked player, but if you go by stats, I think Taylor's look much better than Haley's. Of course, stats aren't everything, which is why I have some agreement with beaverstever, in that Kennedy has played a huge role to date. I don't think Kennedy will ever put up the stats Taylor does, but Kennedy has a more rounded game and can be plugged in at more positions at this point in their careers. They both have more development to come, and are going to be fun to watch for the next 3 and a half years. In the end, they will both be stars for the Beavs.

nwhoopfan - - Haley Jones of Stanford has not yet come completely into her own....I think the reason she is ranked so high is that she totally passes the eye ball test !! She is a star in the making - she does a bit of everything and she does it well..The entire package, as they say..... Even if her numbers were lower than they are I think she'd receive a high ranking because she has visible star quality.
Now, I'm not trying to detract from our Taylor Jones...Taylor's great and I love her game. She's awesome and she's added a great deal to the Beavs. But right now my guess is that very few coaches would take Taylor over Haley if they had to choose between the two..... GO BEAVS !!

It's really early on to be rating Fr. Is it evaluating them as they are 10 games or so into their career, or is it a projection for where they will be? I can definitely see that Haley is a very versatile player who can impact a game in a number of ways. For simply efficiency and putting the ball in the bucket, Taylor certainly has shined.
