They changed it and then changed it back it looks like, I wanted to hold them to 31!
Also worth noting that was just Jasmine Moody’s fourth game this season. She played against Wazzu, but not against Utah or ASU. She had more than twice as many rebounds as anyone else on their team.

The major complaint from this board is usually turnovers. Did anyone notice that our three starting guards, Destiny, Mik, and Aleah (or Allie as she is often called , only had one TO each. Only 7 TO's from the starters and 11 for the team. I'm pretty sure I counted 4 blocks by Taylor, but she was only credited for two. Her and Kennedy teamed up for a couple, so Kennedy may have got the credit for those. I really like the way Kennedy is playing D, and her rebounding at this point. Both Taylor and Kennedy seem to be getting more comfortable in game action, and having the experience of Maddie coming in to back them up is a real plus for this team. Playing offense against a big that moved pretty well, proved to be tough for Taylor in the beginning of the game in particular. That is going to be good experience as the competition talent level is going to elevate in a couple weeks.

What I noticed this game is that Kat is getting back to the defensive player she was before she got hurt. Kat's defense is a HUGE game changer for OSU. At 6', and with her mobility back, Kat can guard a Lexi Hull, Megan Walker, etc. I also happen to think that Kat's offense is fueled from her defense. When Kat is in the game defensively, she comes alive on the offensive end. Sooooo glad that Rueck is giving her big minutes. Beavers need Kat on both O and D. Glad to have her back.

Love the 'big minutes' too. Interesting that as PAC-12 season approaches (only 1 more non-conf) Rueck went with just a 7 player rotation....With Kat being the backcourt sub and Maddie the frontcourt sub. Having those two talented seniors off the bench is a huge plus, especially w/o Taya.

When Kat is knocking down her 3s, she needs to be on the floor close to 100% of the time. When she is on, you simply cannot give her an inch or she’ll make you pay. It really opens things up for Mik, Destiny, and Taylor to have more space to work one on one. She uses her length really well defensively. I hope this game gives her the confidence she needed as of late.

BYU best Gonzaga all three games last year. Different teams, but wouldn’t be surprised if they got them a game this year as well. BYU looked pretty rough for offensive firepower, but they are long and very physical. Good prep game for teams we will face down the road that defend that well, that will be able to score on us as well.

There is no doubt that when she is on, Kat adds a special element that few teams have off the bench. Shooters will have slumps as we have seen with most of our top shooters already this year. That is why I believe a key to Kat being invaluable is what she does on the court when her shot isn't falling, such as being to pass quickly and put the ball down to get to the rack. Those things are still coming back to her.

She scored 17.0 PPG last season as a freshman. Being that she is from Arizona, I wonder if any Pac-12 schools recruited her. They had two big, strong, physical forwards, and then a long shot-blocking center in Hamson. That makes it tough to score down low.

Last year in the third game against Washington the Beav's, when in trouble, started rushing their offense and played loose with their defense. This year against, what I think is a better team, BYU the Beav's slowed down the offense and tightened up the defense. As bad as this game was starting out I'm encouraged at how this team with meet adversity this year. And as several people have pointed out, having a healthy Kat is good for what ails the Beav's team at any time.
