7 years ago yesterday in Newtown, CT the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary happened. There are observances all over town each year on Dec. 14. At 9:36 the church tower bell rings 26 times for the staff and children who lost there lives that morning.
Last night, the town turned out again. The Newtown high school team was playing for the state championship. There were several players on that team who were survivors from that tragic day including one who lost his brother. On the last play of the game, Newton completed a touchdown pass that won them the championship 13-7. Newtown fans and some fans from the opposing team stormed the field to celebrate a triumph for the community. A joyous end for a sad day.

Winning a state championship? Celebrating winning the state championship?

Do i need to say IMO?

So your comment that does not refer to the SNF "thing" and only responds to the OP doesn't really have the context it needs to make sense. Be a better poster.

For the record, check out the time of the post. It was at noon Sunday, well before the SNF thing. I was inspired by the outpouring of the community in general and the look of joy on the brother's face. It might not be healing, but it sure as hell is a respite.

I saw it in the ESPN Top10 as #1 highlight. They didn't over do it. Was a nice, brief tribute. No idea how anyone could see the post as out of place/inappropriate.
