Interestingly, you won't find any mention of this on Mik's twitter feed. For a person who could really "grow her brand" with all of this growing exposure, she let's her actions (on the court and off) do all the talking.
You *will* find re-tweets from her of SR 500th win, DS's 1000th point, a video of her thanking the community for donations, tweets highlighting all her other teammates (Noelle, Taylor, Kat etc.). A tweet welcoming Sasha and Savannah...... I am so glad Gill was recently filled to the brim with a bunch of youth, and hold out hope that a few of them will chose to follow Mik's example.
I fully expect Dr. Pivec to one day add OSU Distinguished Alumni Award to her growing list of accomplishments, and for that award to similarly not go to her head either.
Such a credit to our program, our school, our community......not sure I have seen her equal in the OSU student athlete ranks, at least in my 33+ years of closely following the Beavers since I stepped foot on campus.
Color me impressed (and orange).
Go Beavers!
