She's obviously a great coach (2 national titles), and was very complementary of OSU in the postgame press conference - but she was way over the top during the game. She's the female version of Doc Rivers.

I know these coaches can't help themselves... but you got to think they lose their effectiveness when they complain about EVERYTHING. I would just tune them out as a ref. When someone like Rueck really got on me... I'd be more prone to listen.

If you're chirping at me from the opening tip I will tune out anything coming out of a coach's mouth other than 'time out' even if it's a legitimate gripe. You better believe I'm paying attention to the coach that hasn't said anything the whole game and then starts getting animated about something. Some coaches understand this concept a lot of others don't. However, I would have also dumped Baylor's coach after the last foul on Sidney with 7 secs left with the wave off and the 'BS' comment she repeatedly said.... |
