Oregon - Paradise Jam (Island Division)
11/28 - Oregon had a monster first quarter that saw them outscore Oklahoma State 34-13, though they lost the remaining three quarters 13-14, 22-23, and 20-22, which is not a good sign for them. Hebard had a monstrous 30 and 18 game, shooting 13/15.
11/29 - vs. UTA (Katie Mayhue's team)
11/30 - vs. Louisville, this will be a really good matchup
Washington State - Paradise Jam (Reef Division)
11/28 - Wazzu had a not great first half against Baylor, but they only got outscored by three total in the second half. They were carried, literally carried by Molina and Hristova who had 25 and 15 on a combined 56% shooting. I love Molina. IMO, she would have been ours but Rueck was not going to offer her sisters, which was what she wanted. No production past those two.
11/29 - vs. South Carolina
11/30 - vs. Indiana
Ridiculously tough trio of games.

Listened to a tiny bit of the duck game on the radio (and wished Oregon State games would be on radio in Portland), and it was obvious they didn't have to give a lot of effort, or play a lot of the starters together after that first quarter. I doubt a whole lot can be read into their play after the first quarter.
Good games to keep track of tomorrow. Louisville takes on Oklahoma State, and oregon takes on Texas Arlington (who Louisville beat today). Louisville had a tough time trying to shake Texas Arlington. They did run away from Boise State in the first half of an earlier game this season, before losing a few points to Boise in the second half. I don't think they are ready for the ducks yet, but I would love to see them beat the ducks.
I agree on Molina. Would have loved to see her as a Beav. Molina and Hristova will make WSU dangerous at times.
By the way, Indiana took care of South Carolina in that tourney, so if the Beavs can find a way to win against Miami, they have a shot at moving up in the polls.

I'm still waiting for more data points w/ UW, but they held an opponent to 34 points today. All 4 of their wins have been by 30 or more, but the opponents have been rather dubious. It is troubling they blew a 17 or 18 point lead and lost to Tulane several weeks ago. Huskies have another patsy tomorrow, then Iowa the last day of their tournament in Puerto Rico.

Stanford is playing in the same tournament in BC as the Beavs played last year, but it has moved from Vancouver to Victoria. The could potentially play Syracuse tomorrow and Mississippi St. in the final...but they have to beat Cal Baptist first. Trailing by 2 nearing the end of the first quarter. The Card seem a bit off so far this year. Their 2 leading returning scorers from last year don't seem to be firing on all cylinders.

Looks like Stanford will barely pull it out - that would have been a bad loss for the Pac 12, even with CB undefeated on the season.

I would tend to agree with rmancarl in respect to Oregon's game. When you are playing a series of back to back games, once in control it is not only understandable but also logical that taking your foot off the gas makes sense. You might not even want the players to do so, but psychologically that would be a tendency in a game when they feel they are in total control.

Just to add a minor point to willtalk's observation....This is a 3 day tourney....Graves knows Louisville is awaiting them on the third day so he wants to reduce starter fatigue as much as possible.... Expectations are sky high in Eugene, Graves has all but said they gotta with the National Championship this year......So, he must do his best to make sure Ionescu & Hebard stay healthy...
If he simply had shown a modest humility and said he is hoping to make it to the Final Four this year he could have made his life a lot easier..... At any rate, the game Saturday with Louisville should be a good one..... GO BEAVS !!

Graves always misbehaves , he's not a coach - he's a human roach, his team's days are numbered, their season will end before they title ! The pressure is all on them - !

Louisville beating UO by 10 early in the third quarter 42-32. Liberty is no Louisville, but it makes me feel a little better.

51-42 after three. i only has 6 points She is shooting extremely poorly. Some of her attempts not even close. Moore from USC is a very good defender, and even though she can score, IMO they aren't as potent as when they had Maite. Side note, I love Kylee Shook. I wonder if Rueck recruited her, since Colorado isn't too far. She is everything Rueck would want in a 6-5.

Personally my idea of heaven would be if the Beav's beat them 4 times this year and those were their only loses. Oh well, no heaven for me.

Probably fairly minor, but UW picked up what I think is a decent win over Iowa today. Melgoza had been struggling somewhat to start the season but has scored 20 or more the last 2 games.
