I'm sure he'll be as forthcoming as he's been about AA.

It depends on the person involved. He passed on what AA told him and gave him permission to pass on. He will do the same for Jelena.
A good coach will not ask anything, he will wait for the player/trainer to tell him what's up when they are ready to.

Keep in mind, before criticizing the coaches and athletic department, this is becoming a hot-button item for the NCAA. The NCAA has got a lot of criticism in this area and is starting to crack down on programs that allows coaches any opportunity to exert pressure on the medical personnel. Careless statements by coaches could be interpreted by the NCAA as putting pressure on the doctors. If such a doctor is later let go for any reason, it could trigger an investigation by the NCAA. According to an article by ESPN today, right now about 10 programs are being investigated on this general issue.
I'm sure that all of our coaches have been told by someone in the program to be as anodyne as possible.

I enjoyed the vocabulary builder.
an·o·dyne /ˈanəˌdīn/
adjective: anodyne not likely to provoke dissent or offense; inoffensive, often deliberately so. "anodyne New Age music"

Ron did interview Andrea Aquino before the Miami game.
There were no questions about, "when do you expect to be on the floor for OSU"? Or, "Has it been frustrating to have to watch from the bench"?
Which doesn't really surprise me. It was nonetheless nice to hear from her. She's a smart young women and I'm sure that everyone in the program only wants what is best for her.

I'm totally impressed that the Beavs foot the bill to take Andrea on road trips...She may never play, but she is part of the team and she is treated like it. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but in a money losing sport every dollar is counted....
It's been said several times here before, but I totally respect how well Coach has kept her on the team, in the program, and part of the team fabric. Totally impressed with how well she has been looked after at OSU.... GO BEAVS !!

Rueck, the rest of his staff, and just as importantly the players themselves are an example of integrity at its highest. They make it a pleasure and an honor to cheer for.
