I wonder if SR knows that, if I were you I'd give him a shout 'cause he might be making a big mistake..I know he would appreciate the input from the board experts...:-) Hmmmm... pretty sure OSU has WBB schollies open (I believe 15 allowed, only 14 on the roster)... she didn't get one/a walk on... so I'm guessing SR knows it?! Possibly, but as a walk on he gets her for FREE!! Leaving a schollie for another high end recruit. FREE is a very good price. She may not be an all star, but stating she is NOT a D1 player is assuming a butt load, JS anyone?? One simply can't make these kind of statements, for about 10 different and relevent reasons.. We'll see , or not. |

We'll see , or not. Well... wasn't my statement. I simply stated SR knows her ability and value. But, you're right D1 has connotations... if she's on a D1 roster, she's D1. Schollie D1... at S Utah I'm sure she is. Without putting words into another poster's mouth... often D1 = talent level to be contributor in a meaningful way. Message board posts often are "shorthand" not exact meaning that's implied. But, I don't see stating shortcomings as being derogatory to players. They all have them, and as fans all we get to do is talk about stuff they actually get to experience. Go Beavs |

We'll see , or not. Sure I can. (BTW, I didn't say "D1", I said "Pac-12", which is a much higher standard.) Watch the SU game (it's on YouTube) and then you can, too! Yes, she hit some shots and even had a good drive. But she was outmatched when on D - she's short and not particularly quick. She had one dumb foul and she repeatedly found herself trailing two steps behind her man. If SU had scouted her beforehand, they would have had a game plan to exploit her weaknesses mercilessly.
I love her attitude and I'd be thrilled if she develops into a regular player. But I don't expect it to happen. I also don't expect Isaac Barnes and Joey Potts on the men's team to see more than a few minutes of floor time. Football routinely turns walk-ons into starters and sometimes even NFL players - Mike Remmers and Johnny Hekker come to mind. It's much rarer in basketball.

I don't remember hearing this before, but after watching the game it looks like the injury to Brown was friendly fire. Pretty sure Morris caught her with an elbow.
