Products/businesses that have come and gone in our lifetimes. I'll start with a couple.
Business--Parking lot Photomats. Drop them off today, pick 'em up tomorrow. Some were even better. Get them in by noon, pick 'em up after 5.
Product--8-track tapes. Wow!!!! Talk about hi-tech. Never had one, I got the new and really improved cassette players. Did like the song you hit, simply hit a button and it would FF thru it and start automatically at the next one. Holy crap, amazing, how did they do that!!!!!!! 😁 Still have a ton of cassettes.

Ben Gay. A victim of the modern lexicon!
Not that there’s anything wrong with that!!

Waiting in line to get the best seat in the movie theater. I absolutely love the reserved seats.

During summer breaks in college, I remember hanging out with my HS buddies who were also back at their parents for the summer. We'd rent a porno and watch it in my parents' basement. That's basically the same thing, right?

Yeah... that's the same... as almost no one's experience!

I'm sure it's not your experience, as I find it hard to believe you've ever had A friend, let alone multiple friends. You reap what you sow.

Can we get this thing back on track and knock off the idiotic personal comments.

Stopping and asking for directions. Folding and unfolding paper maps. Remembering people's phone numbers. Paying attention to people, not devices. Concerts where everyone was involved with what was happening on stage, not trying to record/livestream it. Talking about the same network television broadcast shows, not one-off esoteric stuff a co-worker was binge-watching.

Oh, and since I travel a lot:
Striking up a conversation with someone you might never meet again vs. seeing what brand of noise-canceling headphones they are wearing versus your brand (Bose QCs) Being able to tell what book they were reading from the cover vs. admiring their kindle/tablet cover versus your kindle/tablet cover.

Remote controls that we called "clickers" because that's the sound the buttons made when you pushed them. The Zenith Space Command had all of four buttons because that's all you needed. Oh the simple days.

Was in Corvallis visiting my daughter and roommates. Asked if they had TV for the flatscreen on the wall....nope, we just use it for Netflix.
Do you get free TV?(Looking for Sunday NFL football) Nope, we don't want to pay for it. What about FREE TV, you know, with an antenna? The reply...What's that?

I can think of three things in this video... 1. Rotary dial phones 2. Operators 3. Lily Tomlin
