Did the Beavs beat any of those teams?? too lazy to look it up.. Colorado got in with the same record and OSU beat them but I have no idea on SOS in soccer. It doesn't have a final RPI ranking after this last weekend matches, but its the best I could find. Looks like entering the final weekend, Colorado had an RPI of 31 with a SoS of 24, whereas OSU had an RPI of 47 with a SoS of 54. These don't include the final matches against Utah 55/9 and that other team 65/8. The Buffs had non-conference matches at #5 (#3 RPI) Florida State, losing 3-2 in OT and at home against #43 RPI Texas, winning 2-1.
By the look of things, Colorado was rewarded with playing a tougher schedule than OSU. The toughest non-conference opponent for the Beavers was Villanova at #66 RPI, and they weren't even considered a bubble team.
I don't fault the easy schedule. Just like the football team before Coach Smith's arrival, it was a fish out of water, without all the drama. Just needed to develop team chemistry and learn how to compete.

Again, I will say that the Beavers' future is bright losing only 2 of 11 starters, and 8 of 11 starters being underclassmen this year.

There was plenty of drama the last couple years, it just came to a head last year. Players, coaches, support staff, and athletic department were not on the same page. There were more I and me than we and us.
