Beavs simply need to win these home games against ISU and Oklahoma. They need to show the committee they belong in the dance.
I don’t give a rats ass about any tourney but the big dance. It’s past time for us. This is the year.
GO BEAVERS!!!

Oklahoma now looms even larger. being 3-0 after opening up with those is going to set us up really well.

I know that Oklahoma and ISU may be "down" this year compared to years past but they are two programs who have been regulars in the NCAA tournament for the past 5-10 years. Two wins against them would be huge to start the season. Paging Wilky here, but when was the last time OSUMBB had two wins over power 5 non-conference opponents to start out a season? None that I can remember off the top of my head.
Still have to take care of business Tuesday before we get too ahead of ourselves however. Even a loss on Tuesday I won't be too down on the team cause if you told me we would be 2-1 after 3 before the season I would've taken it. Hope there's a good crowd in Portland cheering them on.

Per the Game Notes, Oregon State and Oklahoma are meeting for the fifth time with the Sooners leading the series 4-0. That means we are due! Go Beavers! Let's hope this is how the game goes for OU: [NOTE: I only post this and consider it funny because apparently no one was injured] (I sure hope that includes the horses, since they had no choice in this stupid tradition)

I won't be spending money in vegas over this win follow up with a win over OU, but I will say it sure beats losing to Mizzou and A&M last year. ISU and OU look to be significant upgrades over those two, and of course, actually winning the games is the actual point.
Finishing 4th in a power conference is enough to get you in the tourney in some parts, but as we clearly know from last year, it sometimes won't even get you into the NIT.
If this team is serious about dancing, they do indeed need to get these into the W column.

Still very early, but Pac 12 teams only have one loss so far and that is ASU that lost to Colorado (technically a non conference game). Big 10 teams’ have 7 losses — several of them bad ones. Win over Oklahoma will give the Beavers some breathing room. Still need to take care of business in conference too.

Hype or no, year in year out Tinkle's OSU teams are consistently mediocre.

Why can most coaches generally sit during the game and watch their team run the offense and defense while Tinkle is pointing where his players should be during their offensive or defensive sets. Do they not practice? Isn't that where players know their roles and learn how to run an offense or defense?

After three games it is vey apparent Ethan Thompson IS NOT a point guard.

Seriously, you must not watch any college basketball if you think most coaches just sit on the bench and watch their teams.

Yes, he's not playing well right now, but the "not a D 1 player" comment is ridiculous. You really think that he couldn't play at Portland or Portland St. or NJIT.....all "D 1 Basketball Schools" Maybe you can arrange his transfer to Western Oregon for him.
