Anyone want to go with me - I promise not to throw my souvenir cup of DP over you when Kylor scores the winning bucket on a slam and one with .5 seconds left. Decent seat too. Go Beavs!

I have teenage kids, so consistently feel I am falling behind in the modern vernacular. Any opportunity I find to keep up, I take it and am not afraid to ask. What is a Ducat?

You must have well learned teens Ducat - from Italian ducato, originally referring to a silver coin minted by the Duke of Apulia in 1190: from medieval Latin ducatus (see duchy). ducat (sense 2) dates from the late 19th century. And if you are a Trekkie - there was Gul Dukat, who was a Cardassian leader on Deep Space 9 - he was an E Ticket ride for sure.
