I’ll bite. I’m equally as excited but the PAC is super tough this season. I predict a 3rd place finish in the PAC-12 and a birth in the sweet 16. I predict it will end there in the sweet 16. Now, if our two freshmen end up growing quickly and Kat gets back into pre-injury form we might be able to battle a little higher.

Playing in a tough league will prepare the team for a deep tournament run. If the starters can avoid playing crazy minutes, aided by good bench play, an elite 8 possibly final 4 run is very possible. Starting 5 competed very well for three quarters against team USA before running out of gas.

Once everybody gets healthy, this will be the best team OSU has ever had. They might not get to the Final Four like the 2016 team did, but they're bigger, they're quicker, and they're more talented. The current injuries to Kat and Taya guarantee bunches of playing time to Taylor and Kennedy, so, when conference comes around, they'll also be much deeper than the 2016 team. Plain and simple, we're loaded.
As I've said before, I expect us to be undefeated starting conference play, and I don't concede the conference to anybody, especially Oregon. We're 4 & 2 against them over the last 3 years. They have basically the same team as last year (new point guard), and we beat them at Gill. No slam on Jo or Katie, but we're going to be much better at both the 3 & 5 spots this year, and deeper (therefore better) at the 4.
I think the worst we're going to do is second in conference, and we'll make it to the conference championship game.
I also expect that we're going to set another new attendance record at Gill this year. The game with all the kids is already sold out I understand. When Stanford gets here on January 19, the 6th conference game, we should still be undefeated, and that one will sell out. And, of course, Oregon on January 26 will sell out. Last year we averaged just short of 5,500; this year should be over 6,000, maybe way over 6,000.
It's going to be really fun watching this team. Bring on Irvine! Let's get started!

Nope... they are not. Can't prove it one way or another, but the strengths of the G/W play in the current team isn't superior/physical enough to overcome the inside play/depth of the other great teams. Pretty simple in my estimation... Pac12 titles and Final Four... or bust if you're talking the best ever. Period.

I’m excited that once again, after a ‘pause’ last season, there will (very likely) be two true freshmen making important contributions to the team’s success. And that’s not a knock on Jasmine or Trish - who were more ‘typical’ freshmen in that they needed D1 program experience/coaching in order to reach a level of ‘contributor’.
Two years ago TC and Aleah came along and provided a glimpse of the talent that us fans would be enjoying for 3-1/2 years. Now it’s Brown & Jones turn.
And to make it even better, those two incoming players from back in Oct. 2017 will be sharing the court FOR TWO SEASONS with this season’s dynamic new talents.

At the beginning of 2018-19, it looked like the pieces were in place for this team to make a final four run in 2019-20. However, this plan was derailed with Aquino not playing and developing as a freshman. I am high on the Freshmen posts, but I don't think it is realistic to assume that they will consistently produce like an experienced soph or junior would - especially the first tournament. Hope i'm wrong.

Hope i'm wrong. Clearly we aren’t used to blue chip recruits if you are skeptical that this year’s frosh might not be up to being significant players. Some seem to forget that both Weisner and Weiss led their teams in scoring as freshman, and Wiese was all conference. These frosh are not projects - I for one expect them to be major contributors immediately and consistently.

I'm hopeful that Taylor achieves her goal - PAC12 Freshman of the year.

I don't see why freshmen playing D1 women's basketball can't be ready to be impact players. It happens in the men's game all the time. And even with almost an entire team of freshmen, Sabrina and the supporting cast made the elite eight 3 years ago. Neither Brown nor Jones will reach their full potential this year, of course, but they're better right now than Jo was last year, and will improve as the season progresses.
