Anyone who saw Uconn play Cal and Vandy would realize why Geno is very very very disappointed. Not only do they not look that good, but they have little to no depth. They only have one legit point guard and she is coming off of an injury and not playing well at all. I never saw Uconn as a final four team this season, but after seeing them play those two games even I was surprised at how ineffective they looked.
Other past top teams that really looked bad are Texas and ND. Both were rated purely by reputation. Neither is a top twenty team. That's no surprise to anyone but the pollsters who rated both there.

UConn never has any depth. Doesn't matter who is sitting on the bench, I can't remember the last time Geno went more than 7 deep for anything more than garbage time mop up duty. They are loading up on '20 and '21 recruits, but if their same attrition by transfer rate holds up, they'll still be in the same position. Megan Walker came in with a class of 4 that was rated #1 by most recruiting services. 3 of the 4 transferred out in the first 2 years of their career.
