Good read from Mr Auriemma below the Top 25 (Pac12 is hot BTW). I like the 24 second rule and 8 in back court, bring that on asap!

Another ESPN article: Women's basketball 2019-20 Power 5 predictions
"Although the Pac-12 encompasses seemingly as much square mileage as it's possible for a conference to cover, the stretch that matters most this season is the corridor from the Bay Area through Oregon's Willamette Valley. Sure, Oregon assured its status as the team to beat in all of college basketball once Sabrina Ionescu opted to return for her final season of eligibility, but retaining the Pac-12 title will be almost as difficult for the Ducks as claiming their first national championship. With Stanford (No. 4 in espnW's preseason Top 25) buoyed by its best recruiting class in years and Oregon State (No. 6) still flush with backcourt depth headlined by Destiny Slocum and Mikayla Pivec, the Pac-12 has as many teams in the top six of our preseason rankings as the rest of the nation combined."Creme and Voepel both pick the Beavs to finish third behind Oregon and Stanford respectively, while Hays has us second behind Oregon.

I'm with Hays. I'm not ready to concede anything to Oregon or Stanford just yet. I would remind you that, in the Hebard-Ionescu era, we are 4 & 2 against the Ducks, and we all seem to agree our team this year is better than last year's. I will be very surprised if we don't finish the pre-conference schedule undefeated, and should also win the first 2 conference games. When we then play Stanford and the Ducks, we're going to be a very high performing team, brimming with confidence. Plus, we'll sell out Gill when those guys come to town. Whoever wins the conference will be the team that holds serve against UCLA and the Arizona schools. I see no reason why that can't be us.

So I'm a bit new to the dynamics of NCAA tourney politics. What needs to happen for us to be placed in the Portland Regional?

Whoever wins the PAC 12 will get the number 1 seed in the Portland Regional. Second place could very well get a number 1 seed elsewhere, but more likely a 2 seed elsewhere. Third place team could also get a 2 seed elsewhere.

Not a ton of challenges in the non-conference, so we certainly can't afford more than one loss, but should go undefeated. I'm sure we'll throw all kind of different matchups at Beatrice Mompremier over at Miami.

I like Hays predictions as well. I don't see enough evidence Stanford should be ranked ahead of the Beavs, but the top three teams should all be close. And, although I am high on Arizona this year, they may still end up behind UCLA, because UCLA has the easiest Pac-12 schedule of the contenders this year. Arizona should be very good though.

Graves on being #1, "I think it's really neat and we're adult enough and smart enough to handle this," he said. "We've kept our heads down and continued to work. Stay humbled and hungry.". Hungry, maybe, who isn't,.... Humble, LOLOLOLOLmao, On another planet!!!

So , the way I see this WBB Civil War. I look at history. Last year we had no post presence. We split with Graves gravy train. This year , we have a young Post presence, some senior leadership and obvious size advantages. I say, we beat the sucks twice ( once in league, once in Pac 12 tournament ). As far as Stanford, they always seem to have the ability to get one from us. So, I will go with a split there - with both games being down to the wire. We have two games with them this year, rather than the one from last year. So , 3-1 Beavers against the pretenders, in favor of the Beavers !

Third place team could also get a 2 seed elsewhere. Actually, the highest RPI/Selection committee highest ranked team in the west will be positioned best for the Portland Regional. Oregon State or Oregon can be placed in Portland as a #1/#2 seed because of a "500 mile" proximity rule that would benefit one of the two in-state teams. That's what happened last year - even though Stanford won the PAC-12 tournament and had a higher RPI and same #2 seeding as Oregon, Stanford traveled east while Oregon played in Portland. If Stanford had been a 1 seed, the Cardinal would have stayed in the West (Portland). The only way OSU or UO would be guaranteed to play in the Portland Regional next spring would be to hold the highest seed (#1 or #2).

Her subs combined for 1 point and 2 rebounds. The game she played against us she had 21 and 11 and they won easily. 1 and 1 against the ducks this year will be very hard.
