I'm really looking forward to seeing Jelena on the court. She has the size to take up a lot of room in the key, hopefully not get pushed around, and the height to alter opponents shots.

I'm eager to watch Jelena in action also...She's got volume to go with her height, so I don't see her getting pushed around in the paint.... A bigger concern is how well she can run the floor - especially the 2nd and 3rd time she has to run it...
I've never thought Jelena would redshirt because I can't see her staying in Corvallis for 5 years.... She will have play for pay waiting her in Europe after 2 or 3 years in the OSU system... But who knows...Perhaps her game plan is to become a U.S. citizen and then bring her family here...
Jelena's home city (Novi Sad) incurred heavy bombing during the Bosnian war - many fortunes were lost, employment for many families disappeared, and the personal wealth of much of its citizenry went up in smoke... So, perhaps forces are at work in her decision-making about which we are unaware..Whatever, I'm hoping she has a great career with the Beavs. GO BEAVS !!

She seems like a great kid, I am sure she will need a lot of conditioning and refining to be able to contribute her freshman year, but our coaching staff is famous for that. I really hope we see AA sometime in the next year or so (may not ever happen but I hope it does), but maybe Jelena benefits from the extra time on the floor.
