This disparity between UConn and the rest of the field reminds me of a time I was running an intramural program at a middle school. All the better players complained when I told them I was going to split them up. I then said to them, if you are competitive you want the best player on the other team and they unanimously replied they didn't want to be competitive. Meaning that talented players who flock to the sure thing are not people I would want on my team. Now as a Beaver fan I would love to see top talent on all the teams but I do like the idea that any team in the country could be the winner. My son refers to me as a sports socialist and I would agree with that.
Could you imagine, and I realize it will never happen, if teams were only allowed a certain number of high rated players? I think it would be awesome and would involve more strategy/coaching. But if you know Colin Cowherd this would be bad for his love for dynasty's.
