His game certainly hasn’t transitioned to the Nfl (as myself and many here predicted). This year has been rough, but I believe the Titan line has allowed way more sacks than anyone else in the league. Can’t help.

The team is a bust, the management is a bust, the coaching is totally busted, and Marcus is lucky when he can walk off the field after a 10 sack game. I really don't think Tannehill is going to fair much better. Mobility in that offensive unit means survival, and he's going to get run over even more than MM.

All those coaching changes, system changes, personnel changes, and inept upper management, no one could have expected him to succeed. If, somehow, he has managed to keep his self-confidence and his head intact, with his athleticism in todays game, someone will be fortunate to pick him up.

I compare his situation to the situation that David Carr was put in with the Texans. No chance to succeed. I think he might have a shot with a better team and more talent around him. He's definitely not a Ryan Leaf/Akili Smith type bust.

If it takes 5 seasons for him to be benched, is he really a bust?

If it takes 5 seasons for him to be benched, is he really a bust? Teams aren’t typically going to give up on a #2 pick in the draft too quickly. You have to be an all-timer like Ryan Leaf or Jamarcus Russell to get canned much earlier.

Another duk bust. Even Smith stayed on the roster for 4 seasons. He didn't get much PT after his disastrous "sophomore" season, but it's hard for a lot of teams to cut guys and admit they were terribly wrong about a player drafted so high. Those were also the days of the un-checked rookie draft bonuses, so cutting them before 4 years was up probably gave a hit to the salary cap number.

He may move to San Diego, aka Whale's Vagina.
