This team obviously should not be ranked near this high. Do I think they can be there later in the season? Yes. This series against Cal shows several holes in our game. I hope they let these beat-downs fuel their competitive fire!

you're right. I think our weak preseason schedule gave us a false sense of where we are as a team. the top teams in the Pac 12 are a whole new level, as are the Friday and Saturday starting pitcher in this league. we can be good and I think we will be good, but there will be some growing pains along the way.

The pains are already here !! :-) This might be a troubling year, being ranked at all right now is pointless, and we clearly didn't deserve it.
