Hopefully, the boot is precautionary. Now is the time to shut Taylor down for a few days or a week to allow for healing and recovery. A boot could mean a stress reaction. Let's hope that is all that it is. Freshmen often attempt to play through pain and injury because that is what they believe is expected. However, foot pain is an indicator that the athlete needs to rest and stay off the injured or aggravated joint.
Her ceiling is high. She has already shown herself to be a relentless worker and puts in extra reps and running with her teammates. Jones has a chance to start immediately for the Beavs if she is healthy. I have heard that she has a very high pain threshold after returning from hip surgery two years ago.

Coach has got a mini MASH Unit on his hands... Jelena M. with a several months old knee injury; AA with an undisclosed 2 year ailment; Tudor with a year long knee rip; and now Taylor Jones with an undisclosed foot issue.... Along with everyone else, I'm hoping for a quick recovery for Taylor.... From various comments from her teammates, from Coach, and from bhf it looks like Taylor Jones is the real deal....Her stated ambition of being voted Frosh of the Year in the Pac may be more real than anyone thought when she first said it a few months ago...
At any rate, good luck and speedy recovery Taylor..... GO BEAVS !!
