For those of you who didn't get a chance to see how the Beavs looked during their August 4-game trip to Italy, the quality of the first attached video below taken by Carol Thropay is good. In the fourth and final game of the trip, freshman Taylor Jones got her first start along with Slocum, Pivec, Corosdale, and Goodman. Keep in mind that the players did not practice in between the games in Italy and the Italian professional teams were not particularly competitive compared to what OSU will see in the United States.
That being said, Beaver fans should be encouraged by what they see in the video from Jones, Brown, and Simmons. Jones scores 8 quick points in the first video and provides hope that the pick and roll in '19-'20 can be effective for the Beavs. Jones moves well without the ball to put herself into better position to receive the ball and finish in the paint.
