Not really. Just a PR move to disassociate from the name, since it's now synonymous with "cheaters."
True Nike style, they just "hide" the Oregon Project under a new name. It's 3 Card Monte. It's a shell game. |

Thank you for posting that video. She is an eloquent athlete who speaks from experience with nothing to lose since she has quit the Nike Oregon Project. I hope her voice puts pressure on Nike & others involved to change and protect not only women athletes but men too, of all ages. We are lucky she wasn't successful in her thoughts of ending her life. She is one strong person. Kudos to her. |

Same company that unapologetically stood with fraudulent creeps Lance Armstrong, Marion Jones, Asafa Powell, and Joe Paterno to the bitter end.  And now Salazar. You are known for the company you keep. Makes me sick to see that emblem on OSU’s uniforms. |

Was a runner in high school, and beyond. ANYONE who is not a paid stooge for Nike knows they do not build the best shoes. Haven't been a Nike fan ever. This only reinforces the perception that the "win at all costs" attitude is pervasive not only at Nike, but at tsdtr. And I agree - makes me sick that the "swoosh" is on our uniforms.
Nike has been too big for it's own good for quite some time.

Nike is gross. And there is no reason, not even $$ why Oregon State couldn't have signed their most recent uniform contract with Adidas and/or UA. Just more shortsighted path of least resistance from Oregon State's Lame Duck President Ray |
