Good win. Had a little hangover from last night in set 1, then rolled from there against a fresh team.
Haylie Bennett made a great case for Pac-12 POY this week. And since we won twice, she might get it.
Grace Massey is the glue of this team. She is an outstanding libero.

Last season, they won one conference match. GO BEAVS!! If they figure out the game 1 stuff they could be on to something! ๐ I was at both the uo game and Colorado - and you are very right.......in both matches the team was really not very good in the first set for whatever reason (and they were bad in a variety of ways), and then once they dropped the first set, they seemed to get their heads back on straight. I suspect really good teams can pick up a head of steam with the gift wrapped "gimme" first set and that momentum is tough to overcome. Credit to the Beavers, in both these matches they righted the ship, so I am optimistic. I also understand they are coming back from a number of early season injuries, so maybe we just need the mainstays to be in game situations together more...... And note uo was ranked #24 and we overcame a badly played (and dropped) first set, though it took all 5 sets to do so. Go Beavers!

Honestly they looked quite bad, especially for a team that is supposedly stacked with top recruits. Our players looked every bit as good as them, and Hailey actually looked like the best player on the floor.
