Centerfielder Rohan Wright, 6'3" and 185 from James Rickards HS in Tallahassee, Florida joins the 2020 class. Rickards was 20-11 this past spring, won the District 2 championship and reached the Florida Regionals. Wright's summer travel team is Powermill Jowers and he works with the Big League Xpress baseball academy. He has also done some pitching for the Raiders.

20-11....seems like a lot of decisions for a high school junior.

20-11....seems like a lot of decisions for a high school junior. His team record.....not his pitching record......plus, he's a CF not a pitcher.

He was recruited as an outfielder.
I wish I knew more about him, I need some enlightment on this fellow. I'm having a difficult time processing his recruitment based on what little information and stats I can find. There isn't much available on him. My guess would be that he has a world of untapped potential that is yet to be developed or a true representation of his profile has yet to be revealed.
His makeup reminds me somewhat of the Darius Foster recruitment in 2017 but with a huge disparity in offensive production. Need some help, guys. What do you know?

I’m just encouraged that the program has received a commit from a player that plays HS ball all the way across the country. I hope it ‘pans out’.

Here's some brief clips from YouTube.
He's got a nice swing, but needs to get in the weight room ASAP. I'm guessing he projects to have some pop by the time all is said and done.

To date it appears he's a part time player, appearing in only half of Rickard's games as a Sophompre and Junior. His sophomore slash lines are .242 / .375 / .333. 8-33, 8 runs, 4 RBI, 3 BB and 9 K's.
Junior year was .148 / .343 / .259. 4-27 with 5 runs, 5 RBI, 7 BB+1 HBP,and 14 K's.
Indicators show he's fast and can steal bases. He hit 3 doubles in each of his two seasons.
I suspect we don't have the full picture yet.
