Is it really a Save when you win by over 4 runs? I know the write up said Save, but I disagree.

I thought you earned the save by going that many innings at the end of the game as well.... there is a specific minimum innings, can't remember what it is exactly.
Another way to look at it is.... by pitching 3 innings he in theory faced the winning run at the end of the game. Hope that helps.
I think you are used to seeing the typical 7th, 8th inning set up guys and then another reliever close the game out in a "non-save" opportunity.

Yes, and for baseball that rule is "newer". Many of the old timers complain about how easy it is to qualify for a save now. Thanks for finding the rule, I was simply trying to say it was a Save that we don't often see/not the traditional save.
