Other than the obvious wanting a win this Saturday. My two simple requests to Coach Smith is: 1. Hold cal-poly to under 20 points. 2. Hang 56 points on them!!! Don't feel pity for Cal poly! Run the score up!! Get JJ and AP, Hodgin's and Togiai their TD's!!
And those are my only two simple requests to coach Smith.

Cal Poly does run a unique O compared to what OSU faces... triple option... but, if we give up 20 to them we're in deep trouble vs Pac12 competition.
Talent differential should allow us penetration and the ability to blow up reads and schemes. If we play "soft" and try to read and react Cal Poly could indeed score 3 or more times.
No excuses because of the type of O... Tibesaurus Less must show much... MUCH... more in terms of aggressive schemes and not being out coached.
If not... a bye week... two full weeks... is a great time to make "adjustments"!

I'd feel more comfortable if Cal Poly ran a normal offense, but not many teams that we face run the triple option, so how well prepared can our defense be? Who was the guy on the board last year claiming that we have to go back to the option? Well, I guess we'll see how the option does against us.

Even if they burn time running they’re still gonna have at least 8-9 drives. If we don’t screw up we shouldn’t have to punt but once or twice against this level of competition. 3 scores vs 6-7 is only close if all of our scores are field goals (at which point it does get scary because field goals can be an adventure).

Yep... impossible to have a scout team give you any real reasonable look when facing this type of offense.

Cal Poly is a triple option team, and not a good one at that.
We ain't facing Navy here. All I will say is this. If I EVER see one instance of Tibs bringing in some bulls%#t dime package and leaving a single OLB hanging out in the box I will personally walk up into the press box and slap him. (not really, please let me into the game...)
