I saw this Tweet today on the OSU WBB Twitter site. I haven't seen this year's edition of the magazine as yet. Typically, Athlon devotes a few pages of its preseason edition to women's basketball. I believe the Beavs also were ranked #7 by Athlon Sports prior to the '18-'19 season. If anybody has seen a copy of the 2019 edition, please share any other rankings that you can remember.

I checked it out. About all it does is mention 5 returning players, and no one would be surprised at their names. The ONLY newcomer it mentions is Kennedy Brown, so it is a very lame and very brief team preview. I wouldn't rush out and buy a copy.

They also have placed Mik on the Preseason All-America First Team:

This is great news for Mik. After seemingly playing with only Oregon State fans realizing how good she is, she is finally getting quite a bit of national recognition.

I spent the $10.99 on a copy of the Athlon Sports '19-'20 College Basketball Preview today.
This is what Athlon Sports writer Doug Herakovich wrote about #7 Oregon State:
"The dynamic backcourt duo of Destiny Slocum and Mikayla Pivec will be back, and that makes the Beavers a threat in the PAC-12 this winter. In 2018-19, Slocum and Pivec combined to average 30.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game. Aleah Goodman and Kat Tudor give Oregon State two more proven scorers on the perimeter. Tudor suffered an ACL injury midway through last season, but she should be healthy. The inside presence will come from 6'3" junior Taya Corosdale and 6'6" incoming freshman Kennedy Brown."
Oregon was ranked #1. Stanford #3. Oregon State #7. UCLA #16. BYU #22. Gonzaga #24.
