… then Cal's Wilcox out-coached UW's Petersen this weekend. Down 10-3 at intermission, the Bears rallied and outscored the Huskies 17-9 in the second half to take the contest 20-19. Good game. Cal looks pretty tough and just went toe-to-toe with the Huskies. Cal has good running backs and a strong D. They've got big dudes on both sides of the ball at most positions. They might be a contender this year.
UW might be overrated, on the other hand. I wasn't sold on Eason, but he might just need a little more time to jell with the team. He overthrew a lot of deep balls.
Danger: Wilcox may be on his way to making the Pac 12 North one team deeper.

Halftime adjustments are BS. If a coach waits until halftime to make adjustments, he isn't doing his job. A team has coaches both upstairs and on the field. Make your adjustments when the situation occurs. You're at work and the machine you are operating is out of adjustment and is turning out a poor product. What? You're going to wait until you go to lunch to get it fixed?
