To be a great decision.
When you get in a confrontation with you boss, and one of the guys that has to restrain you is Vontaze Burfict, you must really being going over the moon.
Seriously, I hope this isn't concussion related.

Tough to get frostbite in July in the Napa Valley. Then threatening to punch the GM. Last buy I would want as a teammate.

And he's cleared to play on Monday. Gruden's getting paid more, his vote overrides the GM. What's the point of a GM then?

Consider an "elite" franchise still by some, one winning record since 2002... 8 since 1985. From the hiring and enormous contract given to overhyped JG, signing a known cancer in AB, then allowing his side show to reign supreme. What's new is "old" again... Not a NFL fan, but do love the "train wrecks" that appear seasonally.

It will be interesting the first time he throws a tantrum with Brady or Belichick.

My favorite pro team now is whoever is playing the Patriots. As a player, the last guy I want on my team is this asshat. As a coach, I don't care how good he is, he is a cancer in the locker room and on the field. I can't wait until the first time he and Brady aren't on the same page, he busts a pattern and Brady throws a pick because of it and they have a conversation on the sideline.

Heard a very good analysis yesterday afternoon. Pats are highly organized and disciplined. TB expects receivers to be in a specific spot at a specific time. To run specified scramble re-routes. AB is a street ball type... ad libs at will. He and Big Ben had a good feel on that level. BB is stubborn in his pure judge of talent and work ethic. AB supposedly is a very hard worker, practices like he plays. BB thinks that will prevail over attitude. But, AB has a history of "me" over team/wins. Wants his stats. Pats have several good wideouts, TB spreads it around. Over under he gave was AB plays in 9.5 games with Pats. He took the under.

Therefore i can enjoy watching all the teams and fans eat themselves up with hating the Boston Patriots. And having no particular invest in the Pats i also look forward to their inevitable collapse and the humility lesson due for their fans. It's all good.

Hmmmm... not an NFL fan, but was drawn to the Pats as a kid by what I though was the coolest helmet decal ever... Patriot snapping the football. That said, when I watch NFL games it is usually highlights or DVR'd like last night's game, and I've always pulled for (2) teams. GBay being the other, again forged from childhood idols Bart Starr, Jim Taylor, and the stories of yore from Hornung. But, two decades of EXTREME success, 6 SB titles, and an NFL record of 16 straight 10+ win seasons precludes Pat fan from being a front runners. Asshats? I'd imagine OSU fans would be seen as the same if we were that successful. No? Collapse? It surely will follow BB's departure. No matter one's allegiance there is no denying the absolute mastery BB has in talent evaluation, development of coaches, discipline and rigor in a league of just the opposite. BB has won with numerous different types of players and teams... run oriented, pass oriented, defense oriented. He has been the most flexibly successful coach in the history of coaching... college or pro. Aloof, arrogant, asshat??? Maybe... but have heard in person, and as a father, son, friend and mentor there is rarely a negative word folks will say about him. I heard a great quote about the Pats culture that went along the lines that playing for them was a job... it is not "fun" to go to work everyday, but you will improve as a player and person AND you will WIN... it is our job, and should be treated as such, the issue with many of the NFL teams and players is that they want to be paid to "play", we get paid to "work". Jealousy for most, but the Pats are basically old school in a social media/glitz & glamour society. You fit the Pat's culture or your gone. I'm pretty safe in saying no team will ever match BB's/Pats' success over a 20+ year run. Actually something I applaud in today's world and something a guy like Saban (one together with BB at Cleveland along with a bevy of future elite coaches, GMs, etc) has been able to do at Bama. Take an eroding culture, imprint his attitude and style, and be able to "recruit" and mold. Those that don't belong are happily let go with others there to eagerly replace them. It's is far more difficult to do at a place like OSU where you have to develop talent far more than an NFL coach who molds attitudes to have the talent fit their culture. Recruiting 2/3* kids, landing a 4* here and there, and creating enough depth to instill the old school mentality is idealistic, BUT... it was my hope when OSU hired their next coach. Like MR was different in the type of offense he ran, be different than the social media, glitz and glamour based schools and go OLD SCHOOL... tough, disciplined, create better players, better coaches, better people. When JS was hired my hopes were not dashed, but I had hoped he'd go against the grain and surround himself with old school experience in key coaching positions. His program, but surrounded by wily old mentors. To be able to pick and chose and mold his team's identity yet have maybe 1000's of game experience at his fingertips. I know others here hated MR coming back to be part of this program. IMHO he and others were welcome... and several were extremely interested in finishing their careers in Corvallis without being "in charge" (OC or DC). This is just me... coming from the old school era knowing such principles are still alive and working. If a school/fans are going to be patient I'd rather it be a build in the BB, Saban mold. PS- again, IMHO, the AD also needs to revamp the OOC to include (3) relative softies for the first three year portion, then mix in a BSU, Hawaii, Fresneck in years 4-5... once established add (1) mid-level P5 team with two softies. The goal is to WIN, to draw fans... most here might disagree (and scheduling is sometimes hard to get out of) this team at 3-0 in the OOC with fan base growing is not that far away from winning (3) Pac12 games this year. Give players confidence with the ability to get lots of players reps, get wins, and this team is even closer. An athlete's mind is a powerful tool... and successes, individual and team, is the sure fire way to build extreme self confidence and that in teammates. GO BEAVS

Even the Patriots have decided that 11 days is far too long.
Looking forward to the 30 for 30 on AB. Should be fun watching the dumpster fire.
