Not sure the reason for the lack of live streaming - but maybe it was made after coach watched this team go thru their warm-up drills🤠 ...They obviously have either a depleted roster because it's summertime in Italy; or, they are simply depleted even when at full strength! 🏀 GO BEAVS !!

5:02 3Q - Oregon State 74, Lazio Select 24
If this were softball it would be run-rule time.

Final 103-43
Now if we can just get some details in the aftermath... a box-score, a few photos, maybe some video clips... please!

One thing we will most likely learn from the box score: AA's clearance status. If she is a no show in this game that pretty much indicates she's not cleared to play this summer....

I wish when the teams here in the US schedule these trips that they could go up against some competition. Corbin College and Seattle University would blow these teams off the court in most cases. Gonzaga did much the same on there recent trip. Keep a level headed perspective on what the competition is.
The team bonding is more important than what we will learn from the games.

UMiami appears to have played some decent competition, they played three games, one blowout, one two-point win, and a close loss (they were without their best player though). I think two of our games could be relatively competitive. The one team has two former top-15 US recruits.

Game highlights:
It’ll be interesting to see, but this could be one of the quicker, more uptempo OSU teams - especially when Destiny and Jazz are on the floor.

Team had 16 steals and 50 rebounds. That probably speaks more to the competition than to our defense, but still nice to see. Since Aquino didn't play, I would speculate that the smart thing to do would be to write her off for this year as well. That would seem to open up more minutes for Brown and Jones. Since Jelena would seem to be more of a question mark than either of them, and since she is coming off the scope, I believe I'd give both of them plenty of time in the post on this trip, and put Maddie back spelling Corosdale, where she belongs.
Looking at that box score, I'm guessing we started Maddie in the post. Since it's highly unlikely she's going to grow a few more inches prior to conference play, I think that's a mistake. If playing the senior there, rather than a freshman, gave us a better chance of winning, then we should. I don't think that's going to be the case, however.

Looks like the Beavs started their vets, which should be expected. I don't know about everybody else, but I'm most interested is seeing what the young players can do. What I didn't see, was minutes played, so I'm not sure if that was available. It appears the young group played quite a bit. Kennedy had 7 offensive rebounds, and I'm guessing a number of her shots (15 total) were put back attempts.
I don't think we can gather too much from this game because of the competition. Most of us already expected that AA, Jelena, and Kat would not play, so no surpirse there. Despite the competition, it feels good to see Jazz have a good game, and Kennedy and Taylor have some solid stats. I'm looking forward to seeing the results from the rest of the trip.
