Kendall Rogers thinks Beavs are class of the Pac 11 www.d1baseball.com/analysis/ten-thoughts-saturday-march-19/Further down Aaron Rogers notices the Huskies. UW has given us fits for a couple years. I think they are a team on the rise. Trojans win series vs #12 Cal. Which raises my eyebrow a bit. They had a Thur-Sat series to get on Pac 11 network. Really appreciate the Beavs putting the games on livestream. I imagine that will end when Pac 11 network starts broadcasting games

Hey Tigardbeav….good to "see" some old P-O baseball faces on this site. Is this the main place folks have been logging onto for baseball??
Any, FWIW and IMO…..this might be a super special team if the #2-#3 starters continue to come around. Hopefully Martinek will be in the mix before too long (any news on his possible comeback date?). We're gonna need another arm come playoff time….

This is about as good as it gets for refugees. The PbP will be a little different. Most of the regulars are over here. Maui, Eugene, Tony, prof and ME!
Agreed on the 2nd line starters coming around. If Jake gets it going....
KJ showing some flashes now after not having a clue. The HR on Fri may be good news bad news. If he starts believing that he is a long ball guy we are in trouble. As Casey says he will be "getting big". Gap to gap guys for Omaha

They delivered a big STFU to a usually mouthy and arrogant ASU team. I do not recall EVER bouncing out B2B the starter in the first inning, conference or non-conference. That is extremely impressive. I thought BA's were supposed to tank once Conference season begins. So much for that thought. Now they need to tighten up the bullpen. The 9th inning should not be an adventure every time our pitchers take the mound.

Hey Dave. I couldn't see KJs double off the top portion of the LF wall. Was that a line drive? Jay was kind of waiting for it to go out. But it seemed to happen very fast like a line drive. If that was a line drive it likely means KJ is getting his groove back. Just in time for conference play me likey

How were the umps this weekend behind the plate? I watched what I could streaming on Fri, Sat, and Sun. And listened to it when I was having to go places. Sounded like for the most part they were fair except the Sunday ump, his strike zone began to shrink. Any thoughts? Outscoring your opponent 22-7 in a weekend series is always good. But 5 of those 7 runs being given up on the ninth....yeeeshhh. A little concerning. Still, just the first series in Pac-12 play. I think once they find their rhythm, they will be unbelievable!!

I hope he isn't thinking long ball every time he steps up to the plate. An RBI is good, no matter how you get it.

Home plate umps seemed O.K., but I sit down the first base line. The ump who chapped my butt was the guy covering first yesterday. He screwed up at least three calls, as far as I'm concerned. Plus he lectured Heimlich on how to hold the ball properly. What a jerk.
