bennyskid - - You make a good point about the importance of having good practice players on the roster...The added info about having the "scout team" available on a limited basis was also helpful..By scout team I presume you mean the men players who the starters scrimmage against....If you know how often men are used in practice I'd be interested in knowing...It seems to me they would be useful in many drills beyond scrimmage and scout team work..Especially working with the post players.......
Shifting gears: Here's something to consider. Maybe Noelle is not on the roster primarily as a practice player. Maybe Coach thinks she can be a starter in 2 years....Get ready for him to say as much. After all, as willtalk likes to point out, nothing is guaranteed !! But what willtalk usually fails to mention is that while nothing is guaranteed, most future events are understood in terms of their degree of probability.... And if you don't believe in the power of probability stay away from Las Vegas.....Guaranteed good advise.....😎 GO BEAVS !!

I can't find the rules on-line. From what I can tell, back around 2005 there were no rules, and some teams had men at every practice. Then the Gender Equality people pitched a fit ("those opportunities to practice should go to women!") - they didn't win, but from what I can gather some rules seem to have been put into place. Our "Tune Squad" practices with the team roughly twice a week, for roughly half of a practice. I don't know if that's the legal limit, or just how much Scott wants to use them.

One has to wonder if the women's team at Cal, Berkeley is still allowed to scrimmage against scout team members who are called men, since the city fathers (woops, can't call them that - the city parental figures) have outlawed perfectly good words that include man in them (manpower, manhole,...). Perhaps they will now scrimmage against humans not eligible for inclusion on the team for reasons other than identity.

Any good driver will let up on the gas and begin applying the breaks before they reach the spot they intend to stop at. If they do not then they will overshoot that spot and miss their intended stopping point. Its a simple principle that ever driver understands, yet that same principle is constantly being ignored by social engineers who's lack of foresight will usually create unforeseen consequences. In this case, the loss of all the gains that have been made in respect to equal opportunity for females in sports.

Another guard for practice, since Tudor's practice time will nil until she's cleared, and then limited afterward.
