Oahu authorities are cracking down on airbnb , vrbo and almost all short term rentals. Of the 20,000 rental units available on the island less than 10% are legal and licensed. Our reservation was cancelled last week. Owner renting illegally are subject to fines of up to $5000 a day. Authorities are focused on stand alone units that are strictly use for short term rental that could be rented long term by permanent residences, and not so much on small cottages on properties where the owner also resides. Check with your rental company or owner and make sure you have a place to stay, hotel rooms going fast

Thanks for the information. We booked our stay at a hotel to play it safe.
Where do the visitors sit in the stadium? Tickets are available now from OSU but I wasn’t sure if those seats are any good, or if I should buy the tickets from somewhere else.

There will be TONS of tix available in great locations late into August. Football still not a huge draw there to locals especially early season when the weather offers many other options than seated in a stadium. I'm guessing Beaver fans will be seated all over because of the availability of good seats. Visiting team tix there have sucked in the past. But, some like to have tix in hand early and be assured of sitting with like minded fans.

FYI... heat/temps downtown and in the stadium can be 10-15 degrees cooler mid/late October on vs late August to early Sept. So, to locals a NC game in the heat of the day ranks a distant ??. Plus, they are not well attended period... average about 50% full in a 50k seat venue. So... as stated, they'll be plenty of tix floating around near game day.

I lived in Hawaii, 3 different times, twice on Oahu, but thanks. The games aren’t well attended because the team is not good anymore, not due to weather.

Hmmm.... reminds me of another team we are interested in.... And here I was thinking that global warming was the cause of plummeting season ticket sales

Lol... live there a 4th time... as stated (and not disputed by the three-time resident) later dates have better game watching weather. And...they've never been well attended on any consistent basis. Great weather is an attendance deterrent... sweltering stadium or the beach and water... hmmmmm. They were greatly improved last year... 8-5/5-3 and a bowl (loss)... still 53% full and student attendance dropping. But, of course the locals who share info know nothing. And, I'd course the point of the original post... there will be a plethora of tix available.🤣🤣

And I met a local weather man that taught me all about the area climate and temperature trends, so there! Btw, not sure why you’re hooked on the available ticket thing, since I never disputed that. Ready....? Go!

I looked at pictures of the stadium online and there are so few fans in them that it was impossible to see if there was an actual visitor section. I’ll wait a bit and see what’s available. Thanks!

Its possible some of the low attendance by students can be attributed to Aloha Stadium being a good distance from the main campus. The traffic can be bad at times.

If Pearl City is anything like Kona is, I'd consider late October to November to be much more comfortable weather than September when it comes to heat and humidity.
