Maybe some of you had heard, but one of our own passed away Tuesday night in a car crash. Jeff worked at Oregon State Athletics for 20 years and for most of that time, was in charge of football video, until he made the transition to Event Management for his last few years with the department. This is where most of you may have seen him. Jeff served as the event manager for Gymnastics, Volleyball, and Softball. And for one year, served as the parking manager on football game days. Jeff was loved by everyone in the athletic department, especially all the teams he worked with. He truly had an impact on the student-athletes and put them first when it came to our events. You may have also seenJeff around town in his little red MG or even for a short period of time, his orange and white old mail truck that he sold his ice cream out of at football games the last couple seasons, Ruby Jewel. Jeff loved cars, if you couldn't tell. He also loved riding his bicycle around town, as he put it, "It's nice to get out and see what corvallis has to offer. Plus, my doctor told me I had to exercise." Jeff truly was what it meant to be an Oregon State Beaver. He was a great co-worker, a great friend, a great father, a great grandfather, a great husband, a great beaver, but most of all, a tremendous person. He will be greatly missed around the Corvallis and Oregon State community. www.gazettetimes.com/news/local/corvallis-man-longtime-osu-athletics-employee-killed-in-crash-near/article_c3ef6991-b87b-5ba9-a997-5f9322f659fe.html

Impressive to see his background in promotions and athletics. Sounds like his life touched many in a positive way. RIP.

Sad story to read but inspiring to hear all the lives Jeff touched. Hope his wife is able to heal both inside and out.

Maddie Taylor posted this on Jeff's Facebook page: "This is Maddie Taylor on Jeff's phone. I am writing to let you know we will be having a celebration of life for Jeff at Gill Coliseum Sat. June 29th at 1 pm. All are welcome. If there are any changes made I will post them."
