Wow! I wonder how many steals per game she averages? She has that down to a science! Excellent ball control, passing, and shooting too.

Those types of "steals" aren't going to work at the college level and will result in easy layups that will drive her coach crazy.
But yes, there is much to like in her game.

Hate to say that it seems like Amari has been high on the ducks. Hopefully Timea can convince her to come to Corvallis instead!

There's not a lot of concrete evidence of who OSU is after in 2023, but here are some kids recently placed in the top-60 who OSU may have some interest in. www.espn.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/rankings/_/class/2023 (I tried to link some highlight videos as well) -- No. 5 Ashlynn Shade, 5-9 CG (Noblesville, IN) - Shade is VERY talented. She can play all three perimeter positions and is probably mostly a 1/2 at OSU. Similar to Pivec in some ways - she's strong, versatile, plays bigger than she is, posts up guards, etc. Not a ton of OSU interest yet, but Jonas recently followed her on twitter. Would love to see OSU offer and make a serious push. -- No. 11 Sammie Wagner, 6-1 W (San Antonio, TX) - Really versatile wing. Her best position is probably the three, but she can play the two or four as well. Shoots it well, passes it well, good size, and good IQ. An all-around really good player. OSU was one of the first schools to show interest in her as a middle schooler, but she committed to Baylor very early. No signs of new OSU interest, but someone to monitor nonetheless. -- No. 21 Maggie Mendelson, 6-5 C (Fremont, UT) - Timea's HS teammate. A very athletic post player. Really good shot blocker, can play back to the basket or facing up, and she'll shoot the three. She's also a big time volleyball player, and plans to play both in college which makes OSU very unlikely. Still someone to monitor given that Rueck loves size and her connections with Timea. -- No. 27 Chloe Briggs, 5-11 CG (Ontario, CA) - Perhaps the flashiest player in the class of 2023, Briggs is a walking highlight reel. Has a good feel for the game and a high IQ. Already holds offers from Arizona, Stanford, UCLA, Oregon, and others. Her dream schools were, a few years ago, Oregon and UCLA, but that stuff is always fluid. She's someone to monitor, but also in the unlikely category. -- No. 28 Sofia Bell, 6-1 G/W (Portland, OR) - Another really good all around player. Similar to Sasha in some ways with her athleticism, length, and size on the perimeter. Appears to be a pretty good shooter and slasher. Apparently all of the PAC-12 schools are after her, she has already been on OSU's campus at least once. Her father played for Oregon, which may make things a little more difficult, but she looks like one of OSU's top targets. -- No. 34 Amanda Muse, 6-4 C (Brentwood, CA) - Athletic post player. Really good shot blocker with a developing offensive game. Could be someone who comes off the bench behind Raegan for a few years while she develops. -- No. 36 Addyson Brown, 6-1 W/F (Derby, KS) - Kennedy's sister. Watched her game against Raegan and was really impressed by her defense. She was hitting her threes consistently and also has some nice post moves. -- No. 47 Olivia Anderson, 6-4 PF (Ellensburg, WA) - Anderson is a shot blocking machine. She also has a developing offensive game, but she runs the floor extremely well and also shoots the three ball well. Really impressive agility for a sophomore in HS. She's also been on OSU's campus before for the team camp. She's garnering a lot of PAC-12 interest including Stanford.

Great info. Thanks for posting.... 2023 seems like an eternity from now, but apparently it isn't! I'll be surprised if Olivia Anderson remains at #47. I like everything about her game.... Ellensburg, Leavenworth, Pasco: a lot of premiere WBB talent coming out of the smaller population centers in Washington....
Right now I'm just hoping we all can get back into Gill in December 2021.... GO BEAVS!!

Of course there's Spokane too, but that's much bigger than those towns listed above.
HVL was Cashmere, not Leavenworth, even smaller.

Curious if the Beavs will pursue Malia Samuels, 5' 6" guard (Hoopgurls #45) from Sammamish/Burien Washington. BH and KF both followed her (and she them) on twitter, and she follows beaverwbb. I'm curious to see how different recruiting looks with the new assistant coaches. SR will drive it all, so it may look much the same to us who only see looking from the outside.

Another 2023 KF and JC are following is Hoopgurlz #4 player in the class of 2023 6'4 post player Brea Cunninham out of San Diego. I might add that Jenny Huth recently started following Brea as well.

didn't want to start a new thread, so here it goes, from Raoul:
So is Ohio State the first to offer a WBB prospect in the 2027 class? (That would be a sixth-grader, or if their school year is over, a rising seventh-grader.)

Are colleges even allowed to offer a kid of this age? What form would the offer take? A bicycle with a note on it?? 😎 GO BEAVS!!
