I'm starting this thread to encourage posting info about Pac-12 non-conference schedules...
Not much is available as of today (June 16) but news will be dribbling in shortly...I hope the Beavs sign a few big time opponents, hopefully at Gill... Stanford obviously believes in booking name opponents.
Stanford hosts Ohio State in Maples December 15 and the Lady Volunteers December 18 before heading to Texas to play the Longhorns December 21. Texas (No. 15) and Tennessee (No. 24) are ranked in espnW's early top 25 for 2019-20.
In addition, Cardinal will be playing in the Vancouver Showcase on Thanksgiving weekend....
If you run across games of interest, please post.... GO BEAVS !!

I’m praying for ND on our schedule again. This is finally our year.

It would very possibly be our year, indeed. We had their 5 first round draft picks on the run in Vancouver last year, until they wore us down toward the end. This year, we have 4 starters back (counting Tudor as a starter) and they have none.
Who knows? Their announcer might even learn to pronounce the names of our players and coaches correctly - pretty sure he'd get Brown and Jones right anyway.

If you run across games of interest, please post.... GO BEAVS !! Like Stanford, Oregon has announced several elite matchups before conference games begin : at UConn, home game with South Dakota State (Sweet 16 team this past spring, Caribbean preseason tournament featuring Baylor, South Carolina, Oregon & others. Like Oregon State and the rest of the PAC 12, additional games are yet to be announced.

Peevec, the apple of Coach Scott Wruck's eye. Wonder how he'd mangle Jelena's name? And God forbid he should switch to doing football and Notre Dame were to play Utah, or another school blessed with many a Samoan.

They count - in many cases even more than some conference games. When you’ve started the non-conference season you’ve started “the season”.

Agree with what? That "it's merely semantics".

Agree with what? That "it's merely semantics". They are not preseason games, which do not count on a team's record or RPI. They are nonconference games, which certainly do.

I've checked several definitions of "preseason." Looks like "non-conference" is a better, and more accurate, choice of words.... I've edited accordingly.... GO BEAVS !!

And God forbid he should switch to doing football and Notre Dame were to play Utah, or another school blessed with many a Samoan. It could be far worse. They could start letting soccer announcers do basketball games. Imagine the sound of "Goooooooooooaaal" after every made basket.

Or, God forbid, they could let Bill Walton announce basketball games, and he could spend the entire first quarter telling us about a terrific conversation he had with Andrea Aquino about a Grateful Dead concert he attended in Paraguay, where they dearly love the Conference of Champions, and he wants to apologize to all Bruins fans once again for the lost weekend, half of which took place right in this magnificent structure, Gill Colosseum, where the truly great Gary Payton played before these wonderful fans of the Beavers and the Conference of Champions, and wasn't GP II terrific as well, and he just loves hiking and riding his bike in Oregon, which he did last summer and met and befriended a truly wonderful Oregon gentleman who had accepted Jerry Garcia as his personal savior, and, by the way, I don't know what's happening in the basketball game, but neither do you if you've been listening to me, and we're going to commercial now, but I've still got 35 minutes worth of stuff you care absolutely nothing about that I'll start babbling about just as soon as we're back ...

bvrbooster - - nicely done... Walton has devolved into parody of himself... He knows the game but his schtick replaces knowledge with gibberish, description with derision, exclamation with buffoonery...
