ONLY 640 or so people's lives exposed because someone was dumb enough to open a faked email - looks like if your data was involved you get your 239th offer of 1 year free credit monitoring. I think my great-great-great grandkids will inherit my collection of free credit monitoring offers -

It was printed on the front of your ID card for everyone to see.

We've been getting fake emails at work "disguised" as coming from our CEO. Someone inevitably opens one and IT has to spring into action. No fellow worker bee, our CEO isn't emailing you to see if you want to hang out at the lake this weekend.

As the guy who has to clean up after those clueless worker bees.... We will be implementing 2 factor authentication to limit the damage done by brain dead idiots who will type their credentials anywhere they are asked for them..... Of course those same brain dead idiots are complaining to their managers that the mean IT department is making them miss their performance goals because logon takes longer... It's amazing how quickly management buy-in can be obtained when your biggest customer threatens to go to the competition after you fill their mailboxes with junk.

I remember that well, and never giving it much thought, but back then there wasn't much concern - people were just learning how to use the Captain Crunch whistle to get free long distance phone calls.
