I didn't realize it had been announced that neither Andrea nor Jelena would play this coming year. When did that happen? Was any reason given in either instance? What's that you say? No such announcement has been made in either case? Then why is four hundred eleven thousand five hundred talking about their 2019-20 seasons in the past tense? Jelena tweeted out a picture of herself on crutches and in a knee wrap. Naturally Beaver fans think ACL & redshirt year . Andrea was redshirted for unknown reasons. Speculation on visa issues or other problems that may not be resolved in time for her to play this upcoming year

She wasn't in a knee wrap. She was in a large brace, universally used for the first 2-3 weeks post-surgery by those who recently underwent ACL reconstruction. Hence the "speculation." pbs.twimg.com/media/D8e7cc1WwAI7dek.jpg

Someone mentioned that they thought that SR's teams need a scoring post to have the offense work and I completely disagree. So long as someone can drive and score at the basket it's irrelevant as to whether the post is also scoring. What SR really needs for his teams to be really successful is a post who can back up the defense. Drifting off topic, but I think having a healthy Tudor back will help the offense immensely. It seemed to me like the 3 point shooting for the team went way south right after her injury, can't be a coincidence. Cant wait to see Kat back out on the floor.

From what I can see that brace is used post op for a number of surgeries involving the knee not just acl's. I had to have my patella tendons cut, cleaned up, and reattached and had a similar brace. Fortunately I was back stronger than before in 12 weeks. Acl surgeries do seem to be on the rise and so to assume that an athlete in a full leg brace had one is understandable.
