It seems that several people/fans were expecting something from the team today that basically hasn't happened all year. That would be rebounding and consistent scoring. Those 2 things have been problematic all year and were again today. I thought the team showed some grit by fighting back in the second half including taking the lead but were unable to sustain due mostly to the 2 reasons mentioned. Oh, and missing your second best player was also a factor.
Replacing GP11 will be tough but hopefully we can get a couple of guys to combine for his stat line. That along with the continued improvement from Bruce, Thompson, Tinkle and Eubanks should make for a fun ride and I am really looking forward to see what this group will do in 2 to 3 years. Like many others have said we could sure use that 6'8/ 6'9 athletic rebounder (like Oliver who got away to Nevada) to help Eubanks and Tinkle on the boards.
This was an exciting year but I also think the light can be even brighter very soon with a little bit of help.
Go Beavs!

This is definitely a case of looking forward with a real sense of hope for better things. Four freshmen have shown some pretty good things and, in my eye, Tinkle and Bruce look like they can be all Pac 12 by their junior years. Bruce looks like a sky is the limit type of guy.
Eubanks has the athleticism to be a 14/8/2.5 guy in a year or two and Thompson can score in bunches with clutch 3 point shooting. A couple more years of that kind of recruiting and we may have really have something here.
