Went for the Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday games a few years back.
Pretty incredible...Ended up spotting up at Planet Hollywood as they had a nice setup in their convention area with 8 giant screens where every game was on. A temporary Sports book up there to shorten the lines and handle the increased traffic as well as temporary bars. Putting $10 on a game would get you a drink ticket so enough to get you going. Made for a pleasant couple days. I say a couple because anything more than two days in Vegas and it becomes too much (at least for me)
They also had a special area that had TVs at the tables so you cold watch the tournament while you played some table games.
I would recommend.

I was in Vegas for the first weekend in 2008. It may be my favorite time to be there (although I have not done it again). A lot of money and a lot of excitement in the all the sports books - you see guys with four-figure betting slips. For betting, I like the prop bets for over/under wins for a conference. For example, Big12 - under 12 wins - +150 (just making up the numbers). It gives you action in a bunch of games. The actual lines for NCAA tournament games are solid. You have to know the teams well to have any sort of advantage. For the NIT, CBI and those games, you can find some odd lines and get good numbers. For the rooms themselves and TV's, I like Tropicana (great TV's, generally not crowded), Aria (TV's, drink servers, $$$), MGM, Mirage, TI (all crowded, sometimes rowdy atmosphere). The sportsbook room reviews are based on football, but I imagine it is similar for other sports.
