And for those of us who are unilingual, this link essentially says what? Thanks. ”These are all of the injured Paraguayan WBB players who will not play next season in the NCAA” 😁

If she makes the Paraguay team she likely will not go to Italy, as the FIBA competition starts in China Aug. 31.

The men's games start Aug. 31, but I can't find reference to the 2019 women's games. Last year they occurred in late September, which would be compatible with the Oregon State women's Italy trip.

Assuming she is healthy and cleared to go, if she can't make Team Paraguay, perhaps she would be considered more a project than a 5 star recruit. We shall see.

Another good sign in regards to Aquino is in the video below, Aquino is in practice gear with the rest of the team whereas Kat and Janessa aren’t.

Another good sign in regards to Aquino is in the video below, Aquino is in practice gear with the rest of the team whereas Kat and Janessa aren’t. There is nothing surprising about that. She’s been in practice gear plenty of times, including warm-ups to games. The issue is that she had been kept out of contact drills for an unspecified reason before she redshirted, after which Kerry Eggers reported that her redshirt was due to an “unspecified health issue”. She hasn’t been seen engaging in anything but non-contact since. If anyone ever sees her playing 3-on-3 or 5-on-5, that would be exciting. The latest news is very encouraging... that she would be healthy enough to play for the Paraguay national team and that Rueck would have no issue with it. There is only a shred of concern left (though not for those who only believe what their desires demand)... that the NCAA is behind limiting her from playing for us due to that “unspecified health issue” (as someone has earlier pointed out... foreign requirements may not be as stringent).

These tryouts for the Paraguay team are for the Pan Am Games, not FIBA. According to USA Basketball, the Pan Am WBB competition is scheduled for August 6-10. This is the same competition that Mikayla and Destiny are trying out for this weekend, so there is no conflict with the Italy trip.

How cool if she got to go up against USA, especially if Destiny and Mik make it.

The USA still exclusively uses college players. Most of the other countries do not. They use pro's as well which is why the USA has not dominated recently. I think Allie Gibson played for the Puerto Rican team recently.
